League Begins

The Revolution have opened the CYSA Cal League in an exciting fashion. The Revolution shut out its first 2 opponents and won a hard fought battle 4 to 3 against a fine team from Sonoma. So after 3 games, the Revolution are on top of the standings. The coaches have been emphasizing an aggressive attacking defense, a quick short passing attack, and controlling the pace of the game. Thus far, the guys have played outstanding soccer. Due to Oscar's injury and Braden's wrestling schedule a number of players have been used in goal. Daniel, Justin, and Ryan have all been great in the goal when they have been asked to play there.

The key to any soccer teams success is the back line. Ours back line is second to none. The anchors in the back line have been Ryan, Dom, Mitchell, Ben, Andrew and Jeremy. The back line infrequently get in position to shoot and score. Their work is seldom noticed unless something goes wrong. It is a thankless position requiring a great deal of speed, quickness, toughness, and soccer skill. A special thanks goes to the men of the back line.
