This years District Cup was really exciting. The Revolution players played wonderful soccer all weekend against quality opponents. All of the players showed both tremendous skill and heart as they tried to win the division. When Mike Pieri scored the second goal against Folsom, I thought the Revolution would pull out the victory, but we fell 1 goal short of winning the tournament.
The final game against Folsom was absolutely brutal. Watching Justin collide with the Folsom player was frightening. Hopefully Justin has fully recovered from his concussion he suffered. Justin is the man. Ryan also need several stitches after the game as his mouth was a bloody mess. During the game and immediately after, I don't think Ryan knew how badly he was hurt. These guys are awesome.
